Dr Karen Addy, Bsc, Msc, DClinPsych, QiCN, CPsychol, AFBPsS.
Clinical Director Dr Karen Addy is a Consultant Neuropsychologist and Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience both in private practice and NHS services including medico legal, capacity and criminal case work for courts. She specialises in Adult Neuropsychology providing therapy and assessment of a wide range of neurological conditions including acquired brain injuries, strokes, MS, Parkinson’s disease, spinal injuries and degenerative disorders. She trained in Clinical Psychology at the University of Manchester before moving to North Wales in 2005. She has additional post-doctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology and is registered on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists with the British Psychological Society and is currently undertaking further training in Cognitive Analytic Therapy. Dr Addy has wide experience of working in and leading Multidisciplinary teams, support worker teams and supervising other professionals including Clinical Psychologist. She also provides academic teaching for the North Wales Clinical Psychology programme at Bangor University and is an expert member of the North West Wales Research Ethics Committee.
Dr Addy provides clinical work in clinic locations in Bangor (NWNS head office), Llandudno, Chester, Liverpool and Manchester. She is willing to travel to client’s homes and wider in the UK upon request.
