To ensure that we have taken all possible steps to keep our staff, other room users, you and your clients safe we have to add specific safety measuresThe Building staircases are not wide enough to allow two to pass and the building layout doesn’t allow a one way system therefore you will need to think carefully about who is in the building and manage the transitions between rooms safely by waiting if someone is on the stairs. The toilet facilities are all single use and we are recommending only one person at a time use the kitchen facilities.
We have installed a wall-mounted hand sanitiser gel dispensers all around the building. The waiting room is closed. - it can be used as clinic space given its large size social distancing can easily be adhered to in here, but we are not allowing people to wait in this space at present; clients should be advised that they may only attend on their own. If you are working with a child or vulnerable adult, then they can be accompanied by a carer, but the carer cannot wait in our waiting room; they will need to attend the session with you at your discretion or return to their car / wait outside the building until the person is ready to be collected.
We also have face masks and gloves available in the hallway for everyone, but we would encourage any room users to ensure they bring their own supplies too, so you can demonstrate to your clients and your insurer, that you have taken all advised steps to keep your clients safe. As recent reports have raised visors worn with masks as a potentially necessary additional step to further reduce the risk of contamination, we would suggest you may wish to wear a visor. We do not have screens in the clinic spaces as all of our rooms are large enough to allow 2 metre social distancing and all have large windows that can be opened to allow good ventilation during appointments.
We have provided anti-bacterial spray and paper towels in each room for you to use to wipe down surfaces between sessions, so do please make time for this by leaving adequate time between your appointments. All used masks, gloves towels and tissues should be placed in the bin bag in your room and this bag sealed for safe disposal later.
Finally, we have several documents that we would require you to complete ahead of attending at the rooms these can be found by clicking here for Policies. These form part of our risk assessment for your room usage. We would strongly advise that you consider using versions of these to become part of your own risk assessment the offering face to face appointments with your own clients.
But for now, the bottom line is that, if you wish to return to in-person sessions at our clinic we will require that you do so with PPE in place throughout your session with your client. if you feel unable to wear PPE (at a minimum a mask) we are sorry but we will not accept a room booking at present.
